QP aka QUARTZ aka QUARTAPINT Considered by most, a cultured man from all over the map. Born in the 3rd world tropics of Guyana, QP has also lived in Canada, Barbados, Taiwan (+various parts of Asia), and in & out of the United States. He has spent most of his life in Toronto aka T-Dot, where he now resides and has decided to make his musical push. Shifted around since childhood, QP has lived and moved though more apartments/houses and blocks than he can remember (40+?). He has held more aliases than can be re-called. Due to being exposed to travel at an early age, QP has close relations with people from all walks of life; Nationality, Race, Color, Creed, Religion, Social Class, all hold no weight with him, only the content of one's character and good intentions. Through blessings from the Most High, QP has been able to witness worldly extremes which some hardly knew existed, which has helped to mold him into a very open-minded and understanding human being. He's walked and seen some of the meanest, most corrupt areas and streets the world has to offer, but has also ventured on the other side as well, through it all, he has stayed strong and positive and become more aware. He has worked in a variety of fields from youth, and has seen everything from military training, to work in sewers&sludge-pitts, garages&construction, factories&restaurants, to classrooms&offices... Many call him a Jack of all trades!
Despite not having labeled or confined himself to a single religion, QP has come to build a close relationship with the eternal life force known as God, and trusts fully in the path he is on, he respects all religions as One, more importantly regarding faith through actions. QP will tell you; his integrity is his most important possession.
Born in the Chinese year of the Sheep/Goat, under the sign of a Cancer, the universe set the cards down for him to be creative and artistic, doubled over. Since childhood QP loved to sing and listen to music, running around with a tape-recorder close to his lips in his early days. Through-out his schooling, QP always excelled in the creative arts, with a heavy emphasis on visual arts. His first explorations in the music industry began in his early teens as a local house-party/small-clubs DJ in and around Scarborough (aka Scarcity, Scartown), under the alias of DJ Shorty. He ran with various DJ groups such as Excalibur Sounds, King Playaz and NYPD(Natural Young Players Development). After several years, due to many discouraging partnerships, QP put down his headphones and gave away his records to his DJ partners. He then began focusing more on visual arts, doing freelance illustrations and Digital Animation. But Music was always his best release and QP kept writing songs and poetry as a past-time, with friends always encouraging him to take it more serious. It was only in 2005, when upon returning to T-Dot after spending 3 life-changing years in Asia, QP found his closest boys still in the same hoods pushing music at the same level as he had left them, prior to his living in Asia. He then decided to collaborate with his famz to make for a better life and a more serious push with the Independent Record label known as Time Wasted Productions, which QP is a skilled Recording&Visual Artist/Song Writer/Engineer/Producer and CEO of. His goal for the organization is to get enough funds circulating so that everyone related or involved with the movement can eat comfortably, and eat well!

Involved in all aspects of the organization from the bottom to the top. Music and Art has been his life.. From Grindin on the Streets to Producing Great music, to Creating and Designing TW Artwork, to Dealing with All Business Elements, He's a man Determined to be Rich in All aspects of his Life. Life doesn't give handouts, so he does what he has to do to get it!! Spawning from his South American/Caribbean roots, an urban North American upbringing, appreciation for various music, having lived and traveled through diverse cultures across the globe, to befriending multi-millionaires to the truly impoverished; QP's music is an attempt at fusing as much of what he has learned and experienced into a uniquely stylistic and dynamic musical composition, but still staying real to life and some major fundamentals. Hence the variance in his tones, styles and beats. QP is always looking to branch out and expand his borders, ready and willing to work with musicians from any background. In his perspective; musical fusion is like re-uniting long lost relatives... It's all about love!
